What We Grow on Our Organic Family Farm
We grow a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. Our season starts with bedding plants of tomatoes, peppers, herbs and some vegetable starts.
Many of our plants are heirloom or heritage varieties, grown from our own and local organic or open pollinated seeds.
Beans, beets (red and golden), broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, celeriac, corn, cucumbers (seedless, slicing, pickling), kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, onions, peppers, potatoes, rhubarb, spinach, strawberries, swiss chard, squash, turnips, zucchini and of course garlic!
Herbs we grow are basil, bergamot, catnip, chamomile, cilantro, dill, fennel, lavender, lemon balm, mints, oregano, parsley, summer and winter savoury, rosemary, sage, sorrel, French tarragon and thyme. We also sell our Organic Spices from our online shop.
We raise certified organic hens who produce the best tasting eggs! They are kept in a 1/3 acre compound where they are allowed to roam freely from dawn to dusk. We feed only certified organic grains from Canadian Organic Feeds and produce from our farm. In winter they are allowed to go from their compound to one of our two unheated greenhouses where they can peck in the dirt and have dust-baths to keep free of mites and other pests.
